In 2005, prior to YouTube, I was asked by the founder of OOh! TV to help design a website that presented user-uploaded videos. The concept centered around “Channels” which “Channel Providers” would create by paying a monthly fee. Advertising would play before the videos, resulting in a revenue stream for OOh! and the Channel Provider. I helped transition the founder’s idea into a technically-feasible plan and managed the development of the website.
OOh! became Mixcast.tv shortly after the site was launched.
